Classification Specialist

The Classification Specialist will be responsible for managing and supporting the university's participation in local and international ranking frameworks, including the Saqr Project and global systems such as QS, THE, and ARWU . The successful candidate will collect, analyze, and submit institutional data, coordinate with internal stakeholders, and drive initiatives aimed at improving the university ranking performance and compliance with quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Data Collection and Analysis:

• Collect and verify educational, administrative, and research-related data from relevant departments.
• Analyze key performance indicators using advanced tools such as Excel, SPSS, and Power BI.
• Ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of data submitted to ranking agencies.
• Enter and update institutional data on ranking platform accounts.

2. Internal Coordination:

• Collaborate with colleges, academic programs, and administrative units to ensure timely and accurate data submission.
• Monitor internal updates and changes that impact ranking indicators and reflect them accordingly.

3. Benchmarking and Performance Enhancement:

• Compare Suleiman Al Rajhi Universitys performance with peer institutions locally and globally.
• Identify strengths, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
• Propose actionable strategies to enhance ranking outcomes and institutional competitiveness.

4. Training and Awareness:

• Organize workshops and training sessions to raise awareness about university rankings and their importance.
• Train faculty and administrative staff on best practices for meeting ranking criteria and contributing to institutional performance.

5. Research and Development:

• Stay updated on evolving ranking methodologies and global trends in higher education assessment.
• Support the development of institutional strategies aligned with current ranking frameworks and quality benchmarks.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Education:

• Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Quality Management, Data Analysis, Statistics, Information Systems , or a related field.
• Professional certifications in academic quality management, data analysis, or higher education rankings are preferred.

Experience:

• Minimum of one (1) year of experience in academic rankings, quality assurance , or institutional performance within higher education institutions.
• Familiarity with local ranking systems (e.g., Saqr Project) and global frameworks (e.g., QS, THE, ARWU) is essential.

Skills and Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of university ranking indicators and evaluation criteria.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SPSS, and Power BI .
• Ability to prepare comprehensive reports and conduct scientific data interpretation.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and teamwork skills .
• Fluency in both Arabic and English , both spoken and written.
