Communication Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a Communication Engineer to design, implement, and support communication infrastructure connecting smart meters, SCADA systems, and control centres. The role focuses on ensuring secure, reliable, and efficient data communication across utility operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and manage wired and wireless communication networks for Smart Metering and SCADA systems.


• Support communication technologies including NB-IoT, RF Mesh, Fibre, 4G, and 5G.


• Monitor network performance, signal strength, and communication reliability.


• Coordinate with contractors, telecom providers, and vendors during implementation and testing.


• Troubleshoot communication and connectivity issues.


• Ensure secure data transmission and maintain technical documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Network Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.


• Minimum 5 years of experience in communication networks, Smart Metering, SCADA, utilities, or industrial environments.


• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, MQTT, industrial communication protocols, Link Budget analysis, and Industrial Cybersecurity.


• Experience with NB-IoT, RF Mesh, Fibre, 4G, and 5G technologies.


• CCNA or equivalent networking/telecommunications certification preferred.


• Good English communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
