About the Family & Social Services Administration:

The Office of Early Childhood and Out-of-School Learning (OECOSL) within the Family and Social Services Administration (FSSA) oversees early childcare, education, and out-of-school-time programs.  OECOSL's vision is that every Indiana community will have a strong network of Early Care and Education and Out-of-School Time programs that support the child, the family and local schools. Role Overview: 

This role, Compliance Specialist, responds to complaints regarding child care providers by conducting regulatory inspections to investigate formal and non-formal complaints and supports fraud and audit investigations. You will ensure that child care programs are meeting all Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF) requirements and all child care statutes, rules, and policies. You will testify at Administrative Law Judge hearings as needed.  You will assess risk in regard to the health and safety of children for an assigned group of child care programs per child care licensing and CCDF regulations. You will collect, analyze and compare data to established safety and health regulations to document findings through notes, sketches, photographs, etc. and cite non-compliances observed during inspections and document technical reports for administrative and regulatory action. You will support fraud and audit investigations including reconciling attendance records to ensure accuracy of payment.  In this role, you will serve as a subject matter expert in child care licensing and federal CCDF statutes, rules, and policies. 
 
This role can be located at any state office facility in the Marion County area.

Salary Statement: 

The salary for this position traditionally starts at $53,222.00 but may be commensurate with education and work experience.
