Construction Manager - Civil

About the jobWe are looking for a reliable Construction Manager who will organize planning and completion of construction project, including budgeting, implementation and scheduling. Your duties will include overseeing the progress of project along the way in a timely and cost-effective manner.

You should be familiar with principles and best practices in the construction field and be able to supervise and lead people efficiently. Good knowledge about financial and quality aspects is also required.

Responsibilities

Organize construction project from conception to completion, ensuring that contractual conditions of performance are met

Perform in-depth reviews of project deliverables, schedules, costs and work progress, on a regular basis

Supervise all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations

Organize and lead construction workers and subcontractors

Prepare tools, materials and equipment and track inventory

Create internal and external reports pertaining to job status

Regularly reviewing timings, budget, labour, risk and project plans to ensure work stays on track

Conducting daily site visits to inspect work, check materials and ensure staff are following health and safety guidelines

Plan, analyse and manage risks and problems, developing counter-measures on beforehand

Provide technical support to Project Manager

Assists in managing and reviewing the progress of contractors’ construction schedules

Create and review RFI, RFP, CO, VO

Review and negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts and obtain permits and licences

Adhere to quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques

Requirements

5+ years' proven experience of working as a Construction Manager - Civil or other similar position

GCC is Experience is a MUST, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Experience is ESSENTIAL

FIDIC Yellow Book (Design and Build) Based Project Experience is ESSENTIAL

Proficient with MS Office tools, exposure to schedule software, preferably Primavera (P6)

Profound experience with building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards

Modular construction type experience is essential

Good experience of participation at all stages of construction process, including collaboration, leading and planning

Excellent knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods

Practical experience with construction management software packages

Strong time and project management skills

Strong leadership and human resources management skills

Conflict and crisis management skills

BS degree in construction management, architecture, engineering or other relevant area
