Consultant Gastroentrologist

Westaffed is searching for a skilled and dedicated Consultant Gastroenterologist to join esteemed medical team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for diagnosing and managing a broad range of gastrointestinal disorders and conditions, including inflammatory bowel disease, liver diseases, gastrointestinal cancers, and functional gastrointestinal issues. Your expertise will be essential in performing endoscopic procedures, interpreting diagnostic tests, and developing personalized treatment plans for our patients. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care and support for patients undergoing gastrointestinal treatment. Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients with gastrointestinal disorders and interpret diagnostic imaging and laboratory results.
• Perform endoscopic procedures including colonoscopies, upper endoscopies, and biliary interventions.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on the specific needs of each patient.
• Collaborate with surgeons, primary care physicians, and other specialists in the management of complex cases.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in gastroenterology and integrate evidence-based practices into clinical care.
• Provide education and counseling to patients regarding their conditions and treatment options.
• Participate in clinical research and quality improvement initiatives within the gastroenterology department.

• Medical degree (MD or equivalent) with completion of a Gastroenterology fellowship.
• Board certification in Gastroenterology is required.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a gastroenterology practice preferred.
• Strong clinical skills in diagnosing and treating a variety of gastrointestinal disorders.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient management.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
