CONTROLS & INSTRUMENTS DESIGN ENGINEER

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering Technology, BS Electrical Engineering, BS Controls Engineering.
• 5+ years’ experience working on industrial, electrical and electronic equipment.
• Proficient in computer skills (e.g., AutoCAD electrical, Microsoft package and other software related to the control design).

• Reviews all documents related to the project assigned to him to determine the scope of each equipment.
• Reviews the as sold control scope and ensure to remain within the budget or less.
• Prepares bid tabs for the control items for review and discussion with the project stakeholders.
• Attends kick-off meetings, HAZOP, SIL meetings and technical meetings with the project engineers and customers.
• Interact with the C&I team leader to advise and review of the system design and scheduling as needed.
• Interacts with the projects’ engineers on scheduling and clarifications with customers.
• Uses AUTOCAD and other software to prepare control documents to meet the project specification requirements.
• Prepares the control narrative and Cause & Effect diagram in coordination with the process engineers.
• Prepares instrument block diagrams, instrument loop diagrams, interconnection diagram, electrical one-line diagrams, power consumption lists, Cable & Conduit schedules for power and instruments cables and I/O list etc.
• Prepares BOMs for the control panels including enclosures, pilot lights, pushbuttons, selector switches, relays, timers, trip alarms, purge systems and PLC's.
• Prepares instruments specifications data sheets (ISS) and hook-ups drawings for various types of instrumentation.
• Prepares valves data sheets for manual and automatic operated valves and safety Instrumented specifications (SIS).
• Prepares drawings and layouts for control panels, power distribution, junction boxes, and ACWL systems.
• Prepares logic diagrams for logic devices such as PLC's and DCS systems.
• Prepares routing plans and schedules for power and instrument cables.
• Prepares RFQs and materials requisition (MR) for vendors.
• Coordinates with the Procurement team for the technical & commercial evaluations before PO placement.
• Attends factory acceptance test (FAT) to test and inspect our equipment at Zeeco facility with the customer.
• Supports the service team in case of any technical clarifications during the start-up and commissioning of Zeeco equipment.
