Job Description - Corporate Health Center Nurse

Job Description

The Corporate Health Center Nurse is responsible for providing comprehensive nursing services, including clinical care, occupational health services, and first aid and emergency services, within a corporate health center setting. The nurse will play a pivotal role in promoting and maintaining the health and well-being of employees, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and delivering high-quality healthcare services. The nurse will also collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support the overall health and safety programs of the organization

Clinical Care

  • Provide primary healthcare services to employees, including health assessments, treatments, and medication administration.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.
  • Follow infection control protocols and maintain a safe clinical environment.
  • Occupational Health Services

  • Conduct pre-employment and periodic medical assessments to assess employees' fitness for work.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of occupational health programs and policies.
  • Conduct workplace hazard assessments and provide recommendations for risk mitigation.
  • Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations
  • First Aid and Emergency Care

  • Provide immediate first aid and emergency care to employees experiencing injuries, accidents, or sudden illnesses.
  • Assess the severity of injuries or illnesses and determine appropriate interventions.
  • Stabilize and manage critical conditions until emergency medical services arrive.
  • Conduct regular first aid training and drills for employees
  • Health Education and Counseling

  • Provide health education and counseling to employees on various topics, such as preventive care, nutrition, and stress management.
  • Promote wellness initiatives and encourage healthy lifestyle choices.
  • Collaborate with employees to develop personalized health plans and goals
  • Collaboration and Communication

  • Interact with employees, managers, supervisors, and other healthcare professionals to provide healthcare services, discuss occupational health concerns, and facilitate return-to-work plans.
  • Collaborate with the safety and HR departments to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with emergency medical services and other external healthcare providers
  • Administrative Duties

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, documentation, and reports.
  • Ensure the availability and readiness of medical supplies and equipment.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and training programs related to clinical care, occupational health, and emergency services.
  • Adhere to strict infection control protocols to prevent the spread of healthcare-associated infections.
  • Implement safety measures to protect patients, staff, and visitors from accidents and injuries.
  • Identify and address potential safety hazards in the healthcare environment.
  • Pursue ongoing education and training to stay abreast of advancements in nursing practice and healthcare technology.
  • Seek opportunities for professional growth and skill development through workshops, seminars, and certifications.
  • Maintain current licensure and certifications required for the position.
  • Skills

  • Current and valid SCFHS nursing license
  • Minimum 2 Years, preferably in industrial setting
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
  • Proven experience as a nurse in a clinical, occupational health, or emergency care setting.
  • In-depth knowledge of clinical nursing practices, occupational health regulations, and emergency care protocols.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • BLS/ACLS certification.
  • Strong assessment, diagnostic, and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems and other healthcare software.
