Job Description - Design Engineer

Description:

1- Review engineering designs and drawings submitted by appointed design consultants

2- Ensure all design deliverables comply with SEC standards, project specifications, and contract requirements

3- Coordinate design comments, clarifications, and revisions between SEC and design consultants

4- Manage design review cycles, submissions, and approvals with SEC

5- Identify design gaps, inconsistencies, and construct-ability issues

6- Coordinate multidisciplinary design inputs (civil, electrical, P&C, earthing, telecom)

7- Support tender-stage technical clarifications related to design scope

8- Provide design support to construction teams for site queries and technical issues

9- Maintain design review records, comment logs, and approval status

Requirements

Special training, technology use, and language skills:

1- AutoCAD

2- PMP Certificate

3- Primavera P6/MS Project

4- MS Office

COMPETENCIES:

1 Knowledge of SEC standards and substation engineering requirements

2 Design review and technical coordination skills

3 Communication and interface management with SEC and consultants

4 Attention to detail and technical judgment

5 Ability to manage multiple submissions and deadlines

6 Problem-solving and construct-ability awareness

7 Good understanding of EPC contracts and design responsibilities

8 Prior experience coordinating with external design consultants

9 Experience working in Saudi Arabia preferred

Educational degree:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
