Director, Design Management - Roads (DEL 180)

Qiddiya Investment Company is seeking an experienced Director of Design Management for Roads who will oversee all road and civil infrastructure design aspects. This role involves managing external design consultants, coordinating with internal stakeholders and local authorities, and ensuring that all designs align with the project's vision, quality, safety, budget, and timeline.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design management team to effectively develop and deliver road design projects in alignment with Qiddiya's objectives.
• Oversee all phases of design management including planning, scheduling, coordination, and execution of road design projects.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineering, construction, and project management, to facilitate the successful integration of design elements.
• Ensure adherence to local and international design standards, regulations, and best practices throughout the design process.
• Review and approve design documents, providing insights and recommendations to enhance quality and efficiency.
• Manage relationships with external consultants and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and alignment on project goals.
• Implement quality control measures and conduct regular progress reviews to ensure timely completion within budget.
• Prepare and present reports on design management progress, including risk assessments and mitigation strategies.

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, or a related field; Master’s degree is preferred.
• Minimum 10-15 years of experience in design management focused on road infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience leading large-scale civil engineering projects, preferably within the Middle East.
• Strong technical knowledge of road design principles and experience with design software.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across disciplines.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring high-quality deliverables.
