Job Description - Director - Roads Design (MAS7-MDUWFP260160)

Qiddiya Investment Company is seeking a visionary Director - Roads Design (MAS7-MDUWFP260160) to join our esteemed team. In this pivotal role, you will spearhead the design and implementation of sophisticated roadway systems that reflect our commitment to innovation, sustainability, and excellence.

As a leader in this area, you will be responsible for overseeing the strategic planning and execution of road design projects, ensuring they align with Qiddiya's holistic vision for a premier entertainment and lifestyle destination.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive the development and enhancement of road design strategies that align with Qiddiya's overall objectives for mobility and infrastructure.
  • Manage a portfolio of complex projects, ensuring that they meet the established standards for quality, safety, environmental sustainability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Coordinate with various stakeholders, including urban planners, architects, and government bodies, to achieve successful project integration.
  • Supervise the preparation and evaluation of road design plans, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Lead traffic impact assessments and feasibility studies to support strategic decision-making and design choices.
  • Mentor and develop team members, promoting a culture of innovation and collaboration within the Roads Design department.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to ensure that Qiddiya remains at the forefront of road design practices.
  • Represent Qiddiya Investment Company in external engagements, including meetings with regulatory agencies and industry stakeholders.
  • Develop and manage budgets for road design projects to ensure financial objectives are met.
  • Facilitate communication among project teams to track progress and address challenges swiftly and efficiently.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • At least 10 - 12 relevant years of experience in road design and civil engineering, with a proven background in leadership roles.
  • A solid track record of managing large and complex road infrastructure projects, from inception to completion.
  • Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar programs.
  • Thorough understanding of local and international road design standards, regulations, and best practices.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with a focus on quality delivery and deadline adherence.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to cultivate relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Analytical skills and a solution-oriented mindset to navigate complex challenges and drive project success.
  • Advanced communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling effective presentations and stakeholder engagement.
