Executive Director - Sports Park (SPA165)

Qiddiya Investment Company is seeking a highly experienced and visionary leader for the position of Executive Director - Sports Park. This critical role focuses on the development and delivery of the Sports Park, a key component of Qiddiya's sports assets portfolio that aims to provide world-class facilities and venues for sports and recreation.

As the Executive Director, you will oversee the entire lifecycle of the Sports Park development project, from initial concept through to execution and operational readiness. Your expertise in project management, stakeholder engagement, and understanding of the sports industry will be vital to realizing Qiddiya's vision of becoming a premier global sports hub.

Responsibilities

• Lead the overall planning, development, delivery and management of the Sports Park project.
• Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in alignment with the broader vision for Qiddiya City.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders, including engineering, operations, and marketing teams, to ensure the successful delivery of the project.
• Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
• Engage with external partners, including design firms, construction teams, and sports organizations, to facilitate project delivery.
• Develop and implement operational plans for the Sports Park, including programming for events, activities, and community engagement
• Foster partnerships with local and international sports organizations, community groups, and government agencies
• Report progress to executive leadership, addressing any challenges and providing recommendations for solutions.
• Ensure adherence to safety, compliance, and sustainability regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
• Drive continuous improvement across all aspects of project development and delivery.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management or related field
• A minimum of 15-20 years of experience in project development and delivery, particularly within the sports assets such as sports stadiums and arenas
• Proven track record in managing large-scale projects from concept through execution, with a focus on sports venues
• Strong leadership skills, with a history of successfully managing multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage stakeholders at all levels.
• In-depth understanding of market trends and challenges within the sports and recreation industry.
• Experience in managing budgets and financial forecasting for large projects.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing business needs.
