Fabrication Sub-Contracts Manager

Job Title: Fabrication Sub-Contracts Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage fabrication subcontracting strategies for project requirements.
  

• Identify, evaluate, and onboard qualified fabrication subcontractors.
  

• Prepare and negotiate subcontract agreements including scope of work, timelines, pricing, and quality standards.
  

• Monitor subcontractor performance to ensure adherence to contract terms, safety norms, and project specifications.
  

• Conduct regular inspections and quality audits at subcontractor facilities.
  

• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, quality control, and project management teams to ensure seamless workflow.
  

• Resolve disputes or non-conformance issues related to subcontractors in a timely and professional manner.
  

• Maintain detailed documentation including contract files, change orders, and correspondence.
  

• Track fabrication progress and proactively identify delays or cost overruns.
  

• Support cost estimation and bid evaluation during project tenders related to fabrication scope.
  

Essential Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Production Engineering or related discipline.
  

• Postgraduate qualifications in Contracts/Project Management (preferred).
  

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of structural/mechanical fabrication methods and codes (ASME, AWS, ISO, etc.).
  

• Proven experience in managing subcontracts in fabrication-heavy EPC or industrial projects.
  

• Proficiency in contract drafting, negotiation, and vendor management.
  

• Excellent understanding of technical drawings, BOQs, and fabrication deliverables.
  

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to manage vendors and internal teams.
  

• Working knowledge of ERP systems, MS Excel, MS Project, and contract management tools.
  

• Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail and documentation.
