Job Description - Finance Controller (Junior)
JUNIOR FINANCE CONTROLLER - SAUDI NATIONAL
This role is ultimately responsible for all Accounting, Controllership and Governance across the KSA & Turkey sub-regions, being directly accountable for all Commercial entities and activities, and indirectly accountable for the Operational entities and activities that role up into its numbers.
Ensuring the financial close runs to schedule, with high degrees of accuracy on both the P&L and Balance Sheet and ensuring transparency and early communication on the numbers is critical.
This role will ensure maintenance of a strong Controls and Compliance environment, training and educating the teams to ensure highest levels of understanding and adherence and supporting Internal and External Audit teams in their reviews of processes and compliance.
The KSA & Turkey Controller takes a hands-on leading role which enables senior management to have confidence in the accuracy and completeness of financial records and the effectiveness of the Controls environment. It will also require collaboration with other stakeholders in order to generate process improvements.
In this role you will work very close together with Global Shared Services (including R2R, P2P and OTC), FP&A and Commercial and Commercial Finance Teams.
This role could provide future career opportunities to potentially grow into other central and/or regional Finance roles.
Key Responsibilities
Assure operating effectiveness of control environment performed via accounting and control assessments, quarterly controls checklists, DOA compliance, performance of balance sheet reconciliation review and inclusion of remediation tracking;
Maintain accurate, transparent and timely books and records with world class controls exceeding US GAAP;
Perform a three-day financial close with no surprises, including performing pre-close activities, month-end variance commentary and journal review and approval;
Provide accounting and process control guidance;
Own Balance Sheet and Account Reconciliations ;
Finance support for accounting systems integration and financial process implementation for significant changes/upgrades and acquisitions;
Support internal and external audit teams;
Liaison with other business functions to ensure appropriate accounting treatment for all business activities;
Work closely with P2P and OTC teams to ensure clean AR/AP sub-ledgers, efficient end to end processes and maximized Working Capital;
Ensure Compliance with US GAAP, SOX and all SBD Policies and Procedures;
Drive Standardization and process improvements locally, sharing best practices across the Cluster;
Strengthen the local controls environment;
Provide Guidance on Controllership Adjustments (E&O, Rebates, Warranty, Bad Debt etc.).

3+ years Accounting and/or Finance experience
Professional certification or partially qualified (Big Four Public Accounting preferred)
Experience in a dynamic, large international company environment; FMCG and US Company experience preferred
Experience working with SAP, Hyperion HFM or Enterprise systems preferred
Experience working within matrixed organization and with Shared Services structure preferred.
Proficiency in Arabic and English language required.
