GIS Developer

We are seeking a skilled and experienced GIS Developer to join our team in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. As a GIS Developer, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining geographical information systems (GIS) software applications. You will work closely with our team of engineers and analysts to create and update GIS databases, design and develop GIS web and mobile applications, and provide technical support and training to end-users. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in GIS development, programming languages, and database management. You should also have excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and maintain GIS software applications, including web and mobile applications
2. Create and update GIS databases to ensure accuracy and relevancy of spatial data
3. Design and implement GIS data models and structures
4. Collaborate with engineers and analysts to integrate GIS applications with other systems
5. Provide technical support and training to end-users of GIS applications
6. Stay up-to-date with the latest GIS technologies and trends
7. Conduct quality assurance checks on GIS data and applications
8. Document GIS development processes and procedures

Preferred Candidate:

1. Bachelor's degree in GIS, Computer Science, or related field
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in GIS development
3. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, and SQL
4. Experience with GIS software and tools, such as ArcGIS, QGIS, and PostgreSQL
5. Knowledge of GIS data management and analysis techniques
6. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
