Job Summary:

Our client is  seeking a strategic leader to drive the growth and profitability of our Marine and Specialty insurance lines. The successful candidate will develop and implement business strategies, lead a high-performing team, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement business strategies to drive growth and profitability

- Lead and develop a high-performing team of underwriters

- Oversee underwriting, portfolio management, and risk management

- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal controls

- Analyze and report on financial performance, identifying opportunities for improvement

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Business, Insurance, Maritime Studies, Engineering, or related field

- Master's degree or certifications (e.g., ACII, CPCU) are desirable

- 15+ years of experience in the insurance industry, with a focus on Marine and Specialty lines

- Expertise in underwriting, pricing, and reinsurance for Marine and Specialty risks

- Strong knowledge of operational risk, regulatory compliance, and internal controls

- Proven leadership and team management skills

- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities
