Health Informatics Consultant - Saudi National

The Health Informatics Consultant is responsible for providing expert guidance on the development, implementation, and optimization of health information systems. With over 10 years of experience in health informatics or a related field, this role focuses on leveraging technology to improve patient care, enhance data management, and ensure regulatory compliance within healthcare organizations. The consultant will work closely with healthcare providers, IT teams, and administrators to implement solutions that streamline healthcare processes and support data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement health information systems that align with healthcare organizations' needs and regulatory standards.
• Analyze existing health data systems to identify areas for improvement and recommend upgrades or optimizations.
• Ensure interoperability and integration of health information systems with other healthcare technologies.
• Provide expertise in data governance, privacy, and security to maintain compliance with healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR).
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to tailor informatics solutions that improve clinical workflows and patient outcomes.
• Conduct training sessions for healthcare staff on new systems and informatics best practices.
• Monitor and evaluate system performance, addressing any issues to optimize data accuracy and reliability.
• Develop and implement data analytics strategies to support evidence-based decision-making in clinical and administrative settings.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations on informatics projects, providing insights to key stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Health Informatics, Healthcare Administration, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certification (e.g., CAHIMS, CPHIMS) is preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in health informatics, healthcare IT, or a related role.
• Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of health informatics standards, including data management, interoperability, and electronic health records (EHR).
  • Proficiency in health information systems, data analytics tools, and healthcare IT software.
  • Deep understanding of healthcare regulations, data security, and privacy requirements.
