Job Description - HR Manager - Saudi - Microsoft

We are looking for an HRgeneralist to join our team and support our human resourcesrequirments across Saudi Kuwait Oman and Bahrain. The rolel islocated in Riyadh Saudi. You will be responsible for managingvarious HR activities such as HR Governance StatutoryAccoountbility employee experience and engagement Talentdevelopment HR Community leadership HR Projects and initiatives incountry and HR compliance. You will also assist in developing andimplementing HR policies and procedures that align with ourcompanys goals andvalues.

Responsibilities

HRCommunityLeadership

  • Provides scalable One Microsoft HR support aligned to localregulatory compliance and market practice to Microsoftorganizations sitting in Country aligned to Geo HR scope of support(Statutory Accountability One Microsoft Employee ExperienceCrisis/Emergency Recoveryetc.
  • Partners with andbuilds relationships with leadership teams to enable a OneMicrosoft approach and may coach the leader and leadership team asneeded
  • Creates clarityand intentionality for consistency/differences across the relevantPeople Priorities by business area or country creating synergiesand avoiding duplication ofwork.
  • Partners across theHuman Resources (HR) model to foster seamless highquality deliveryof HR services (e.g. onboarding offboarding statutory reportingtracking andreporting)

Talent and HR
Leadership
  • Supports leadership effectiveness and performance by assessing dataand reporting/documenting findings. Assists managers and leadersthrough organizational change and recommends inclusive leadershippractices.
  • Executes onpeople and organizational priorities to drive business decisionsand achieve specific businessgoals.
  • Supportsorganization or larger projects by collecting data (e.g. via focusgroup interviews surveys) and performing analyses (e.g. attritionmovement polls compensation patterns) to identify needs and riskareas in partnership with HR Business Insights. With guidanceinterprets key people data to inform decisions about strategy goalsand actions.
  • Underguidance executes the holistic people plan (e.g. talent managementleadership effectiveness diversity and inclusion culture) for anorganization with the understanding of business and practicalexperience.
  • Supports andimplements strategic talent management efforts (e.g. planningmovement development) as directed. Understands talent strengths andneeds for the assignedclient.
  • Implementscomponents of the diversity and inclusion plan in collaborationwith the business with the understanding of business and practicalexperience. Provides support to plan actions to increase workforcediversity and inclusion.
  • Develops an understanding of what talent pools need to be developedfor future business needs grows knowledge of the talent pool andsupports the development of talentpool.

EmployeeExperience/Engagement
  • Acts as employee advocate by looking beyond process implementationinto the lived experiences of new hires employees managers andleaders with a medium degree ofsupervision.
  • Collaborateswith internal communications to ensure alignment onmessages.
  • Developsstrategies to improve engagement. Helps design and manage programsand activities aimed at creating a positive workplace environment(e.g. employee resource groupsERGs).
  • Leads theDiversity & Inclusion (D&I) Strategylanding/activation in Country including coaching to ERG leads onD&I Activation plans for local country; consulting on GiveCampaigns as appropriate
  • Driving and completing activities related to Best EmployerAwards/certifications and employer branding activities whereapplicable

HR Governance
  • Facilitatesgeography/client governance committee (e.g. establishes and managesgovernance and policies for a geography orarea/client).
  • EnsuresHuman Resources (HR) are aligned across stakeholder businesses thewithin area.
  • Orchestratesplans and drives awareness of and need for corporate opportunitiesto improve HR processes.
  • Provides a vision for and leads regional governance bodiesinclusive of COEpartners.
  • Reviews andexercises judgement/discretion on policy exception scenariosrequiring adaptation of policy (in alignment with HRS/HRCcounterparts)
  • Providesframework to ensure Human Resources (HR) information across theorganization is accurate and up to date (e.g. immigration mobilityoffer governance).
  • Champions culture of compliance with Microsoft practices around HRactivities. Drives awareness of anticipated changes and needs.Promotes compliance with Microsoft practices around HRactivities.

Statutory Accountability
  • Maintains contemporary knowledge of laws regulations standardsemerging trends that may affect Human Resources (HR) policies andexecution of these (e.g. legal signatories court representationhealth and safety benefits local documentation requirements GeneralData Protection Regulation GDPR legallocalization).
  • Translateswhat requirements mean for the employer and offers correctsolutions to adapt and localizepolicies.
  • Ensurescompliance with applicable labor laws and regulatory environment(e.g. Saudization or any other nationalizationprograms).
  • Providesinformation on questions from leadership. Collaborates with workercouncils to ensure continuedrelationship.
  • Oversees HRissues involving legal and financial risk to the organization.Represents HR in Compliance GovernanceCommittee.
  • Own and reportstatutory accountability to local government related to people dataand processes as mandated bylaw
  • Partners with GlobalHRBPs to provide visibility/education of major regulatory changeswhen required
  • ExternalStaff Policy Management and readiness including implementation oflocal controls per Corporate auditrequirements.
  • LocalStatutory Reporting on Nationalizationrequirements

Projects Programs andInitiatives
  • Collaborateswith peers to execute or lead projects programs and initiatives(e.g. applying and executing existing centers of excellenceprograms/initiatives assessing new acquisitions developing talentneeds for new companies pension plans/health plans implementinginitiatives) with a medium degree of supervision. Begins to developproject plans and executes as needed. Identifies responds and takesaction to meet emergingrequirements.

External Impact
  • Engageswith local communities while fostering a culture with stakeholderssuch as professional networks schools communitybased organizationsetc. (e.g. IWD DigiGirlz local Human Resources HR professionalevents) in service to the Microsoft brand values andimage.

CrisisManagement Team (CMT) and DisasterRecovery
  • Supports theleadership team to design and orchestrate crisis managementstrategy including emergency responses disaster recovery riskmanagement communications and business continuity. Providesassistance to employees by activating the companys EmployeeAssistance Programs (EAPs) and employee wellbeing programs duringand after acrisis.


Qualifications

Required/MinimumQualifications
  • BachelorsDegree in Human Resources (HR) Legal Business Psychology or relatedfield AND 5 years experience with HR or related experience (e.g.hiring training performance management) involving applicableemployment laws and policies OR equivalentexperience.
  • HR experiencein Saudimarket

Additional or PreferredQualifications
  • MastersDegree in Human Resources (HR) Legal Business Psychology or relatedfield.
  • As per theSaudization requirements Saudi nationalrequired
