Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented HSE Specialist – Saudi Talent to join our project team. The role is responsible for supporting the implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of Health, Safety, and Environmental standards across AMANA’s construction sites.

The ideal candidate will have experience in contracting or construction projects, preferably within industrial projects, commercial developments, data centers, or design-build environments. This role requires strong site presence, excellent communication skills, and the ability to promote a positive safety culture across project teams, subcontractors, and workforce members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Understand and implement project HSE requirements, including contract documents, HSE plans, policies, procedures, risk assessments, method statements, and applicable safety standards.
  • Ensure effective implementation of the project HSE plan across site activities, including subcontractors, third parties, workforce, and safety marshals.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, safety rounds, HSE audits, and safety observations to identify hazards, unsafe acts, and unsafe conditions.
  • Provide safe work guidance to the workforce, monitor implementation, and evaluate the effectiveness of safety control measures.
  • Develop corrective and preventive action recommendations based on inspections, observations, incidents, near misses, and investigations.
  • Prepare, implement, and update project-specific HSE programs, including emergency and fire drills, safety inductions, toolbox talks, training programs, and inspection plans.
  • Deliver safety inductions for newly joined site employees and support safety training and orientation programs.
  • Coordinate with construction teams, subcontractors, consultants, and project stakeholders on all HSE-related matters.
  • Ensure all personnel, workforce, and safety marshals are properly equipped to perform work safely, including proper use of PPE, RPE, and project-specific safety equipment.
  • Monitor the selection, inspection, usage, maintenance, and storage of personal protective equipment and safety devices on site.
  • Conduct periodic safety meetings and participate in project progress meetings to highlight HSE concerns, resource requirements, corrective actions, and safety performance.
  • Maintain accurate and traceable HSE documentation, including inspection logs, audit reports, training records, incident reports, safety meeting minutes, and other safety-related records.
     

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Safety, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of HSE experience in construction or contracting projects.
  • Experience in industrial, commercial, data center, warehouse, or design-build projects is highly preferred.
  • Certifications: NEBOSH, OSHA, IOSH, and First Aid are mandatory. Additional certifications in Fire Safety, Risk Assessment, or other relevant HSE disciplines are considered an advantage.
  • Candidate must be a Saudi Talent.
     

Technical Skills 

  • Good understanding of HSE standards, construction safety practices, risk assessments, method statements, and permit-to-work systems.

  • Ability to read and understand drawings, site layouts, and technical documentation.

  • Knowledge of site safety requirements related to civil, mechanical, electrical, and MEP works.

  • Strong reporting and documentation skills.

  • Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.

  • Good communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
