IBM Datastage ETL Engineer - New

Position Overview:

As an IBM DataStage ETL Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining ETL processes using IBM DataStage. Your primary focus will be on extracting data from multiple sources, transforming it according to business requirements, and loading it into the target database/data warehouse.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement ETL jobs using IBM DataStage to extract, transform, and load data from diverse sources into the target systems.
  
  
  
  


• Perform data profiling, cleansing, and validation to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  
  
  
  


• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data quality, performance, and ETL processes.
  
  
  
  


• Create and maintain documentation for ETL workflows, mappings, and processes.
  
  
  
  


• Optimize ETL jobs for performance and efficiency, ensuring scalability and reliability.
  
  
  
  


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including database administrators, data analysts, and business users to meet project requirements.
  
  
  
  

Requirements

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  
  
  
  


• Proven experience working as an ETL Developer or Engineer, specifically with IBM DataStage.
  
  
  
  


• Strong proficiency in designing, developing, and optimizing ETL processes.
  
  
  
  


• In-depth knowledge of data warehousing concepts, data modeling, and SQL.
  
  
  
  


• Experience with data integration, data migration, and data transformation techniques.
