IBM web Methods Administrator and Infrastructure Consultant

We are seeking a seasoned IBM webMethods Administrator and Infrastructure Consultant to manage, maintain, and optimize the full suite of webMethods components across enterprise environments. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in installation, patching, and troubleshooting of webMethods infrastructure, with a strong ability to analyze and resolve complex integration issues within existing frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

• Installation & Configuration
• Deploy and configure webMethods Integration Server, Universal Messaging, API Gateway, MWS, Command Central, and SPM.
• Ensure secure, scalable, and compliant setup across development, staging, and production environments.
• Maintenance & Patching
• Apply patches and upgrades across all components with minimal downtime.
• Maintain version control and ensure compatibility across modules.
• Monitoring & Troubleshooting
• Proactively monitor system health, performance, and logs.
• Diagnose and resolve issues across messaging, APIs, and integration flows.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement long-term fixes.
• Framework Analysis
• Understand and navigate existing integration frameworks and custom configurations.
• Document architecture and dependencies to support future enhancements.
• Infrastructure Consulting
• Advise on infrastructure scaling, high availability, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Collaborate with network, security, and DevOps teams to ensure seamless integration.
• Automation & Optimization
• Leverage Command Central and scripting tools to automate deployments and health checks.
• Recommend performance tuning and architectural improvements.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with IBM webMethods product suite.
• Strong command of:
• Integration Server
• Universal Messaging
• API Gateway
• My webMethods Server (MWS)
• Command Central & SPM
• Proven troubleshooting skills in complex, multi-tier environments.
• Familiarity with Linux/Windows server environments and VPN/networking principles.
• Ability to interpret logs, thread dumps, and performance metrics.
• Experience with SSL, certificates, and secure messaging protocols.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with on prem deployments or containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with IBM / formerly Software AG best practices and support channels.
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code tools.
