ROLESUMMARY

  • TheNational Line Sales Manager coaches leads develops and guides theSales driving improved performance and capabilities in generatingclinical demand for the brands with key accounts proactivelyidentifying business opportunities presenting value propositionsaligned to stakeholder needs and objectives and recommendingsolutions to drive and develop business.
  • TheNational Line Sales Manager is accountable for managing individualterritories across the kingdom taking ultimate responsibility fortheir performance and for delivering sales results for thoseareas.
  • The longterm goal is to developstrategic and mutually beneficial relationships with theMultiDisciplinary Team (MDT) Decision Making Unit (DMU) andpotentially other stakeholders based on a deep scientificunderstanding of the issues in order to identify the bestopportunities for any part of AZs portfolio to deliver lifechangingmedicines topatients.

What youll do

CoachingMedical Representative

  • Coach sales team members ontheir patient centric selling capabilities frequency of coaching isdetermined as per the coaching target assigned by SFE team which isrepresenting the required number of coaching visits for each teammember
  • Communicate standard expectation frommedical knowledge to customer management.
  • Identify sales reps developmental level and adapt their leadershipstyles accordingly.
  • Conduct multiple coachingsessions between calls communicate the coaching plan and gaincommitment from Med Reps.
  • Follow up to assesscoaching intervention success and plan additional activities asneeded.

Recruiting & Hiring MedicalRepresentatives:

  • Contributeto the development of the sales recruitmentstrategy.
  • Understand the job requirementneeded for Med Reps role set a profile for the candidate(information about the geography education language backgroundetc.)
  • Select and Assess the Med Rep along withthe HR.
  • Develop network of contacts in theindustry that allow identification and targeting of the bestavailable sales people.
  • Sell company image andvalues as part of the recruitingprocess.

Providing inspirational leadership

  • Lead kingdom to meet orexceed established sales forecasts and call executiongoals.
  • Seek out the needs of individualcustomers and sets appropriate expectations and plans to addressthese needs.
  • Reward and recognize strongperformance
  • Develop sales reps to enhanceskills and advance to higher career level.
  • Proactively anticipate and address obstacles that may impederesults.
  • Comply with all regulations regardinginteractions with healthcare professionals distribution of samplesetc.

Passion for Customer

  • Maintain close contact with KOLs and other key customers includingthose who have significant influence in the purchasing decisionswith major hospitals/institutions for the assignedproducts.

Collaborating and Influencingother

  • Work collaborativelyacross functional areas serving as a resource within the regionsand by leveraging the expertise of others.
  • Actas a liaison between the sales force and other crossfunctionalareas persuading convincing or motivating a targeted audiencethrough collaboration and direct or indirectinfluence.

Performance Management &Monitoring

  • Identifytraining needs or career development opportunities and work with HRand/or Training for appropriate training and nontrainingdevelopment interventions.
  • Assess individualand team progress toward goals and coach to improve conductingquarterly checkins
  • Identify early andaccelerate the development of top talent and provide appropriatedevelopment opportunities for future career progression (successionplanning).
  • Demonstrate understanding of thesales career path and is able to have a career dialogue with his /her reps managing expectations as needed and clarifying developmentpotential and actions required.
  • Lead highperformance team through proper performance management using IDP asa key tool.
  • Work with individual sales reps toestablish appropriate and challenging goals for eachterritory.
  • Make informed business decisions byanalyzing decision impact risks and coaches Med Reps on how to makeeffective tradeoff decisions for maximumreturn.
  • KPIs monitoring achievement to ensuregreatest overall impact on team & companyresults

Area Management

  • Thinkstrategically and make effective tradeoff decisions regardingresources to achieve optimal business results.
  • Influence business partners on the development of sales goals basedon expertise.
  • Review all future plannedactivities (sales action plans performance management etc.) andexpenses for implications to the budget. If needed create businesscase for investments needed to achieve sales revenuegoals.
  • Ensure proper territory design anddistributions among team members to capturepotential.

Sales Management

  • DevelopTAP including sales analysis business planning and peopledevelopment action plan.
  • Hold responsibilityon sales forecasting on monthly quarter and annually basis toattain or exceed companys sales and market shareobjectives.
  • Allocating sales target acrosshis/her team members.
  • Hold responsibility forresourcesmanagement.

CorporateResponsibilities:

  • Maintain highest ethical standards and work in a spirit ofAstraZeneca Code of Ethics following rules & norms set bycorporate policies
  • Ensure that all conductedactivities are done in accordance with local legislation andcorporate standards.
  • Timely report (as perrespective procedures): health/environment/wellbeing relatedaccidents; adverse events that you became aware about; change instatus of your Conflict ofInterest.

Essential for the role

For Internaland External Candidates

  • Minimum 2Years experience as sales manager .
  • Provenstrong performance records.
  • Public &PVT sectors experience.
  • Entrepreneurial andcollaborative approach to engaging with external partners as wellas crossfunctional colleagues.
  • Solidleadership capabilities .
  • Planning andorganization skills
  • Effective analyticalthinking problemsolving and decisionmaking

Desirable for the role

  • Experience in developing and maintaining External Expertsrelationships.
  • Experience in navigatingcomplex business challenges.
  • Basic managementexperience like mentoring/developing others supervising/supportingpeers to address challenging business issues successful completionof shortterm delegated managerial tasksetc.
