Lead Accountant

Our client is a market leader who provides services and products that measure, improve, control and process flow from high-value oil and gas wells, from exploration and appraisal through to mature field production optimisation and enhancement. They are looking to take on a Lead Accountant who will provide financial support to the Controller and Operations Managers to ensure that each significant business decision is given proper financial consideration. This role would be responsible for the clients business across the Kingdom of KSA, and would be based in Al Khobar. Responsibilities will include: • Investment analysis and control (CAPEX, Inventory, Projects, DSO)
• Review of P&L and balance sheet accounts relating to area of responsibility
• Financial planning, forecasting and monitoring versus objectives
• Development and evaluation of business or project financial metrics and drivers
• Contract review, bid support, evaluation of risk and reward prospects
• Design and implementation of project controls
• Currency exposure evaluation
• Mentoring and development of accountants
• Ad Hoc reporting, analysis or projects as required

You should have the following experience / skills: • At least 3 years of work experience in Auditing and business analysis
• CPA or CA qualification is a must
• Strong analytical skills. Ability to solve problems through analysis coupled with good judgment.
• Initiative and decision making abilities
• Communication, listening and interpersonal skills
• Planning and forecasting skills
