Job Description:

Parsons is seeking a Civil/Structural Lead Engineer to join our dynamic team. The Lead Engineer will play a critical role in the design and development of a state-of-the-art stadium construction project. The successful candidate will leverage their extensive experience ensuring the highest standards of engineering excellence, safety, and sustainability are met. This role requires a deep understanding of structural engineering principles, innovative problem-solving skills, and the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to clients and stakeholders.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Lead the structural engineering design efforts for the stadium project, ensuring compliance with all relevant codes, standards, and best practices.

• Provide technical expertise and oversight throughout the design process, from conceptual development to detailed engineering and construction documentation.

• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to develop integrated design solutions.

• Conduct detailed structural analysis and design of stadium components, including foundations, superstructure, and specialized sports facility elements.

• Review and approve design drawings, specifications, and calculations prepared by the engineering team.

• Ensure design solutions are optimized for safety, performance, and cost-effectiveness.

• Coordinate with project managers to develop and maintain project schedules and budgets.

• Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.

• Interface with clients, presenting design concepts and solutions, and addressing any technical inquiries or concerns.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering;

• A minimum of 18 years of experience in structural engineering, with a significant focus on large-scale projects such as stadiums, arenas, or similar structures.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

• Extensive knowledge of structural analysis software (e.g., ETABS, SAP2000, STAAD Pro) and CAD tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

• Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
