Lead fertilizer marketing activities across regions and products by advancing product management, market analysis, pricing analysis, margin and profitability analysis, contract structuring, budgeting, and cross-functional alignment. The role contributes to revenue growth, margin optimization, and stronger market positioning by providing insight-driven commercial support for the fertilizer portfolio.
Act as an advanced professional in fertilizer markets, supporting commercial strategy, long-term planning, and executive decision-making through market intelligence, scenario analysis, and close coordination with Sales, Logistics, and Planning.
Key Accountabilities
Market and Product Strategy
- Lead product management and market analysis for global fertilizer markets, including DAP, MAP, phosphates, or the assigned portfolio, by assessing supply-demand balance, pricing trends, competitor benchmarks, and customer dynamics.
- Develop regional and product-level marketing strategies aligned with company commercial objectives and market positioning priorities.
- Lead the development and execution of promotional plans that strengthen product visibility and market positioning.
Pricing, Profitability and Budgeting
- Lead pricing strategy, market analysis, cost analysis, margin and profitability analysis, contract structuring, and budgeting to support commercial value creation.
- Optimize regional product allocation and profitability by aligning market opportunities with commercial and operational priorities.
- Manage departmental budgeting activities and act as budget controller to support financial discipline and governance.
Executive Reporting and Commercial Insight
- Prepare executive-level market reports and scenario analyses for senior management, EXCOM, and Board materials to support informed decision-making.
- Monitor commercial risks and feedstock cost volatility to support timely commercial planning and risk awareness.
Cross-Functional Coordination and Customer Engagement
- Coordinate with Sales, Logistics, and Planning to align production plans, regional allocation, and inventory strategy.
- Support tender participation, long-term offtake agreements, and strategic customer engagements through market and commercial input.
Process Improvement and Capability Development
- Contribute to commercial process improvements, systems development, and knowledge sharing to strengthen marketing effectiveness.
- Mentor junior team members and serve as a technical reference within the fertilizer marketing function.
Minimum Qualifications, Experience and Competencies
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Business, Economics, or a related field.
- Master’s degree, preferably MBA or Economics.
Minimum Experience
- 8+ years of experience in fertilizer, commodities, or bulk materials marketing.
- Strong exposure to international markets, promotions, and pricing analysis.
- Strong experience in product management, analytics, and management reporting.
