Lucidya is an AI-native platform for customer experience (CX) intelligence that manages entire customer lifecycles autonomously, from initial engagement through retention and growth.
Unlike platforms that only surface insights and leave the action to you, Lucidya completes the loop with proprietary NLU capabilities developed entirely in-house and trained on millions of multilingual conversations, equipping marketing, support, CX, and research teams to deliver personalized experiences that drive measurable improvements in customer satisfaction, retention, and lifetime value.
Why this role matters
As Lucidya continues to scale, contracting and legal decision-making sit at the center of how we grow responsibly. Every customer agreement, vendor contract, and partnership carries both opportunity and risk - and how we manage that balance directly impacts revenue, reputation, and operational efficiency.
As a Legal Associate, you will own the day-to-day execution of commercial legal work, acting as the primary legal partner to Sales, Customer Success, HR, Marketing, and Procurement. This role is designed for a commercially minded legal professional who can operate independently within defined guardrails, while exercising sound judgment on when escalation to senior leadership or external counsel is required.
Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including MSAs, SaaS agreements, NDAs, SOWs, DPAs, and vendor and partner contracts
Lead standard and mid-risk negotiations with customers and vendors, applying approved legal and commercial guardrails
Identify non-standard, high-risk, or corporate-impacting clauses and escalate them appropriately for senior legal review and approval
Develop, maintain, and continuously improve contract playbooks, fallback positions, and redline guidance to support Sales, Customer Success, and Procurement teams
Support contract lifecycle management end-to-end, including version control, execution tracking, renewals, and monitoring of contractual obligations
2. Internal Legal Support & Cross-Functional Collaboration
Act as the first point of legal contact for commercial and operational teams on contract-related matters
Work closely with Sales, Customer Success, HR, Marketing, and Procurement to provide timely, practical legal support
Review internal policies and processes that impact contractual rights, intellectual property, data protection, and commercial risk
Support the Marketing team with legal guidance related to campaigns, promotions, CRM usage, and advertising compliance
Provide business-focused legal advice that balances risk awareness with operational realities and escalation frameworks
3. Regulatory, Data Protection & IP Support
Advise on contractual data protection obligations and support the implementation of approved privacy, data processing, and security clauses
Monitor relevant legal and regulatory developments that may affect Lucidya’s commercial and operational activities
Support intellectual property protection efforts, licensing matters, and the use of third-party technologies and tools
4. Disputes & External Counsel Coordination
Support dispute and claim management by assisting with documentation, evidence gathering, and internal coordination
Liaise with external counsel under the direction of senior legal leadership, ensuring effective information flow and follow-up
Assist with preliminary dispute resolution processes where applicable
5. Risk Management & Legal Enablement
Proactively identify contractual and operational legal risks and recommend practical mitigation approaches
Conduct legal research and prepare clear, well-structured internal guidance notes, summaries, and advisory materials
Contribute to legal enablement initiatives, including the development of templates, training materials, and contract standardization efforts
