MECHANICAL DRAFTSMAN

• Minimum 5 Years of experience as a mechanical draftsman.
• Diploma or certificate course in Mechanical design drafting from any reputed technical institutes.
• Mechanical drafting experience in Oil & Gas Industry.
• Knowledge of Saudi Aramco standards and Library drawings.
• Knowledge of SABIC Standards and PIP.
• Self - motivated working, driven with foresight and own experience, within client Project Management Teams.
• Possess good interpersonal skills with sound English written and oral communication skills.

• The Mechanical Draftsman position should be perfect in utilizing Autodesk Inventor / AutoCAD Plant 3D / CAD Works software to create parametric solid part / assembly 3D models with smart Bill of Materials.
• ·Creates fabrication drawings, 2D layouts (dxf's), and BOM's for all sub-assemblies and parts. 
• Extensive experience in using Autodesk Inventor / AutoCAD Plant 3D / CAD Works including bottom-up designed assemblies, I-Parts, I-Assemblies, Derived Parts and I-Logic.
• Prepares various drawings of parts, assemblies, and products, including various views, sectional profiles, irregular or reverse views, hidden lines and small intricate details.
• Utilizes Computer Assisted Drafting (CAD) system or equivalent to complete assignments in both 2D and 3D.
• Preparation of BOM & MTO for plates, structure, piping & its fitting as well as bought out items for sourcing & procurement.
• Knowledge of cutting layout and nesting for plates & profiles to avoid wastage of material and extra material procurement.
• Analyzes project mechanical specifications / requirements to design appropriate equipment for the application.
• Assignments may include information on methods, procedures, sources of information, precedents to follow, and more detailed verbal instructions from the team leader.
• Simple revisions to existing drawings may be assigned with a verbal explanation of desired results.
• Ensuring all required drawings are completed and meets project requirements.
• Reviewing customer mark-up prints and disposition of comments.
• Shop visits to assist with design changes as required per the project and to assist shop personnel with guidelines for production of equipment.
• Proficiency using Microsoft Office, Word / Excel / Adobe and all web-based systems for design completion.
• Check own and other Drafter/Designer's drawings for accuracy as part of the peer’s review procedures.
