Role Purpose
LV/MV/HV Motors and Alternators, rotating Equipment inspection, tests, maintains mechanical repairs and installations in accordance with repair process and given instructions to desired quality and safety.
Key Accountabilities:
Workshop Management:
- Perform visual inspection for incoming equipment and record name plate, physical damages and missing parts prior to dismantle.
- Inspection of assembly/disassembly, mechanical inspection including measurements and run outs. Provide the required repair recommendations as per applicable standards.
- Aware of measuring tools and testing instrument, micrometer, filler gauge, Vernia caliper, depth gauge, dial gauge, multimeter, clamp meter and Megger etc.,
- Have desired knowledge regarding bearings, seals, rotating and stationary components clearance and interference fit for rotating equipment with reference to international standard.
- Inspection of dynamic balancing of the rotor and supervise the corrective actions wherever required.
- Perform dynamic run test for motors with records of condition monitoring results like temperature, vibration, speed, voltage, current, oil level, flow and pressure etc.,

Necessary Knowledge and Experience
- minimum 5 years in mechanical repair and troubleshooting of medium and high voltage electric motors
Education and Certification Minimum Requirements
- BSc. Mechanical Engineer, Vibration CAT II certified
Job Specific Technical Skills:
- Wear personal protection equipment, with required safety caution for site job and in house job.
- Inspection of dynamic balancing of the rotor and supervise the corrective actions wherever required.
- Perform dynamic run test for motors with records of condition monitoring results like temperature, vibration, speed, voltage, current, oil level, flow and pressure etc.,
- Perform detailed vibration analysis and provide corrective actions in the form vibration analysis report.
- Able to work overtime hours, weekends, holidays.
- Able to show good communication skills with workshop team.
- Reading and understanding of electro-mechanical drawings and symbols.
- ISO CAT II or CAT III Vibration specialist
- Having good knowledge about the mechanical repairs of the rotatory equipment in reference to international standards
