Mechanical Engineer - Water Utilities/Industrial Sector

Job Summary

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support water distribution networks, pumping systems, valves, pipelines, and related mechanical assets. The role will contribute to reliable operations, asset performance, and the successful delivery of mechanical works.



Key Responsibilities

Review designs and specifications for pumps, valves, pipelines, and meter chambers. • Inspect contractor works and verify compliance with approved drawings and quality standards. • Support the evaluation of pump performance, pressure management, and mechanical system efficiency. • Assist with technical reviews, testing, commissioning, and handover of mechanical systems. • Prepare inspection reports, technical comments, and maintenance recommendations. Qualifications & Experience • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. • Minimum 5 years of experience in water networks, utilities, industrial plants, pumping stations, or infrastructure projects. • Practical understanding of pumps, valves, pipelines, hydraulic systems, and maintenance activities. • Relevant professional certification, engineering registration, or recognised training in mechanical systems, pumps, or project supervision is required or strongly preferred. • Good English reporting and site coordination skills.
