Mining & Minerals Consultant

The Mining & Minerals Consultant is responsible for providing deep mining expertise to support business development, solution design, customer engagements, and digital transformation initiatives. The role advises customers and internal teams on mining operations, industry best practices, and technology adoption across the mining value chain, including exploration, mine planning, extraction, mineral processing, asset management, and tailings operations. The Consultant works closely with business development, presales, product, technology, and delivery teams to ensure Digital Platforms' solutions address customer challenges and industry priorities. The role contributes to opportunity development, solution positioning, thought leadership, and the evolution of industry-specific digital offerings while serving as a trusted advisor to customers throughout the engagement lifecycle.

• Provide subject matter expertise across mining and minerals operations, supporting customer engagements and digital transformation initiatives throughout the mining value chain.
• Advise customers on industry challenges, operational improvement opportunities, and the application of digital technologies to enhance productivity, safety, sustainability, and operational performance.
• Support business development and presales teams by providing mining domain expertise during customer meetings, workshops, solution discussions, and proposal development.
• Contribute to the qualification and shaping of strategic opportunities by translating business requirements into practical digital and industrial technology solutions.
• Collaborate with solution architects and presales teams to define customer-centric solutions aligned with operational and business objectives.
• Develop industry-specific use cases covering areas such as operational excellence, industrial analytics, predictive maintenance, autonomous operations, asset reliability, digital twins, sustainability, and digital asset management.
• Provide expert guidance during solution design to ensure proposed solutions align with mining operational practices and customer requirements.
• Contribute to the development and continuous enhancement of Mining & Minerals solution offerings by providing industry insights, customer feedback, and market perspectives.
• Evaluate emerging mining technologies and digital trends, including artificial intelligence, industrial IoT, autonomous mining, OT/IT convergence, advanced analytics, and remote operations, and recommend their application within Digital Platforms' solutions.
• Participate in customer workshops, discovery sessions, assessments, and digital maturity evaluations to identify business opportunities and transformation priorities.
• Develop industry presentations, white papers, reference architectures, and thought leadership materials that strengthen Digital Platforms' market positioning.
• Represent Digital Platforms in industry conferences, technical forums, customer events, and ecosystem engagements as the Mining & Minerals domain expert.
• Build trusted relationships with customer technical and operational stakeholders by providing credible industry advice and consultative guidance.
• Collaborate closely with product management, engineering, delivery, partnerships, and technology teams to ensure mining industry requirements are reflected in product evolution and solution development.
• Support implementation teams by providing mining domain expertise during project delivery, solution validation, and customer adoption activities where required.
• Contribute to internal capability development by sharing knowledge of mining industry, best practices, and lessons learned across cross-functional teams.

          Education:

• Bachelor's degree in mining engineering, Mineral Processing, Industrial Engineering, Engineering, Business Administration, or related discipline.

• Master's degree in business administration, Mining, Technology Management, or a related field is preferred.

  Experience:

• 12–16 years of experience in mining, resources, industrial technology, or related sectors, with extensive experience providing mining domain expertise, consulting services, or technical advisory support.
• Demonstrated experience supporting digital transformation, operational technology (OT), software, industrial automation, or digital platform initiatives within the mining industry.

• Experience in complex customer engagements, solution development, consulting assignments, or technical presales activities for mining organizations.
