Network Security Engineer - Algosec Specialist

Job Description

We are looking for a Network System Engineer specialized in firewall rules management with Algosec knowledge. The purpose is to increase the Algosec knowledge in our division and have a backup for the Algosec technical owner. The candidate will help in operating and maintaining the product and will participate in the improvement of related processes to meet security and regulatory requirements and controls.

About the Role :

As an Algosec Firewall Management specialist, your main mission will be to operate and maintain the Algosec suite, propose and participate in improvement activities, and ensure that the solutions meet our stakeholders' requirements. You’ll closely work with the Algosec Technical Owner and will become his backup. To illustrate, the list of Algosec-related activities ranges from software maintenance and cleanup (operability) to the development of Appviz functionalities (Continuous Improvement) and includes the maintenance of the security risk matrix, in agreement with our Network security standard, the zone documentation, the automation and integration of related processes (API), and more.

Responsibilities :

• Set up, configure, and support the Algosec Suite.


• Contribute to firewall rules management processes.


• Review, implement, and enhance our firewall network security management.


• Create or assist with maintaining related documentation (Design, processes, SOP, etc.).


• Contribute to related troubleshooting according to Incident and Problem management processes (as 3rd line of support for firewall rules management).


• Contribute to Infrastructure and Business projects by delivering the required infrastructure and related documentation, where required.


• As part of Network Security operation, participate in vulnerability management (assessment, validation & upgrade) of the firewall rules management product(s).


• Optimize our current implementation and introduce automation services in our environment.


• Maintain processes like configuration management and monitoring of the infrastructure.

Required Skills :

• Degree in Computer Science or Certifications in Network Technologies, Information Systems, or other related disciplines.


• 5 to 10 years of experience in Network Security Management Systems.


• Experience as an administrator of Algosec AFA/Fireflow and/or Tufin SecureTrack / SecureChange in at least a mid-size company (Financial Business is a plus).


• Experience with firewall policy management on firewall technologies (Palo Alto, Checkpoint, etc.).


• Good overall knowledge of network technologies foundation/competencies such as LAN/WAN, TCP/IP protocols and related DNS (Infoblox), routing, switching, F5, Palo Alto, CISCO ACI, EPG, Arista, etc. is a real asset.


• Ability to develop in Python for network activity automation purposes.


• Fluent in English; based on the working environment, French knowledge is a plus.


• Good communication skills (listening, writing, and presenting) at all levels.
