Job Description - Onboarding Specialist

The HR Onboarding Specialist will play a crucial role in enhancing the employee experience by managing the onboarding process for new hires across various departments. This position demands a high level of organization, communication skills, and a deep understanding of the civil engineering industry, as it contributes to Applus+’s mission of providing top-notch services while fostering a culture of excellence and compliance. The successful candidate will also be instrumental in aligning the onboarding experience with the company’s core values and operational goals, ensuring a seamless transition for new employees into the vibrant Applus+ workforce.


Responsibilities

  • Manage the entire onboarding process for new hires, including orientation sessions and necessary documentation.
  • Collaborate with various departments to develop and implement onboarding materials and training programs.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements during the onboarding process.
  • Maintain accurate records of new hire documentation and onboarding progress in the HR system.
  • Provide support and guidance to new employees regarding benefits, company policies, and procedures.
  • Facilitate communication between new hires and their managers to ensure a smooth transition into their roles.
  • Monitor and assess the effectiveness of the onboarding process, making recommendations for improvements.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in onboarding, talent acquisition, or HR administration within the civil engineering or technical industries.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Arabic.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop effective onboarding programs and materials.
  • Familiarity with HR best practices and relevant employment laws and regulations.
  • Proficient in using HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
