Working as Operations Manager for Coffee Shops, you are responsible for the short- and long-term planning and management of the coffee shop operations, both front and back of house, to achieve customer satisfaction and quality service while meeting/exceeding financial goals. Your role involves managing and achieving profit and quality for all aspects of the coffee shop operations.
key Accountabilities
- Assist in the planning and implementation of new ideas and menu specifications each season, working closely with Central Support to ensure they align with guidelines and meet the high-quality standards expected by our guests.
- Create and operate within efficient labor budgets for each season, tracking labor spending and providing input regarding capital projects and initiatives.
- Direct and control the production function to ensure that finished goods of the required standard are available to customers within agreed costs and at the right times.
- Direct and control the warehousing and distribution functions to ensure that branches are supplied with the right quantities of goods at the right times.
- Conduct unannounced visits to branches to monitor speed of service, cleanliness, and employee hygiene.
- Analyze current operational processes and performance, recommending solutions for improvement when necessary.
- Set strategic goals for operational efficiency and increased productivity.
- Maximize efficiency and productivity through extensive process analysis and interdepartmental collaboration.
- Work and develop relationships with external suppliers to ensure the best reputation within the industry and receive the services required to ensure that the operational team can deliver the highest quality product and the highest financial return.
- Devise strategies to ensure the growth of programs enterprise-wide, identifying and implementing process improvements that will maximize output and minimize costs.
- Collaborate with executive-level management in the development of performance goals and long-term operational plans.
- Work closely with the Manager to ensure correct stock levels are available from the central distribution area to assist the operational team.
- Analyze sales figures and forecast sales volumes to boost profits.
- Stay updated on market trends in the retail industry and monitor competitor activities.

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
- 10+ years of senior leadership role in the appropriate field.
- Proven track record of achieving business expansion.
- Knowledge of government health and food service regulations.
- Proficient written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Experience in managing operations in a similar environment.
