OPERATIONS RISK MANAGER

Our client is a major name in Saudi Arabia's banking and business world. It has grown from a strong base, focusing on serving the needs of the nation and its citizens, contributing to the Kingdom's construction and development, and always operating within the framework of Shariah principles. The Bank has the largest branch network distributed throughout the Kingdom, the largest ATM network and over 8000 POS installed with merchants all over the Kingdom. ROLE PROFILE JOB TITLE : Operations Risk Manager
REPORTS TO : Head of Risk Management
FUNCTION : Management of Operations Risk PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: 1. Develop and maintain an overall operational risk policy that is in line with the overall bank's risk and strategic policies.
2. Develop and oversee operational risk management for products, process and systems (both soft and hardware).
3. Identify areas of weaknesses in policies, procedures and built-in controls and mitigants and recommend improvements.
4. Interact with business units in better understanding the risks and controls and how to manage the same in their daily work.

Job Specification

Minimum Requirements The Candidate should have the following profile : ? Bachelor's degree, preferably in accounting + professional degrees, preferably in risk, audit (external or internal), IT control, fraud examination.
? 5+ years of experience in risk management and operations.
? Excellent experience in risk identification, assessment and management at corporate and business unit levels. In addition, good experience in internal controls identification, design and implementation, etc.
? Very good understanding to Basel II accord.
? Project management knowledge and skills.
? Understanding of financial reporting and corporate governance.
? Excellent communication, team leading skills, and constructive thinking.
? Ability in treating managerial issues.
? Strong knowledge of stochastic processes including Monte Carlo analysis of interest rates and other indices.
