Job Purpose:

The Oracle Utilities CCB Technical Consultant is responsible for the design, development, customization, and integration of Oracle Utilities CC&B applications. This role involves collaborating with functional teams and clients to translate business and functional requirements into robust and efficient technical solutions, ensuring alignment with Oracle’s best practices and industry standards.

As a CCB Technical Consultant, you will play a key role in building and maintaining high-quality system components, interfaces, and enhancements that support billing, customer service, and operational excellence in the utilities domain.

• Develop and customize Oracle Utilities CCB components (Java, OUAF framework, Oracle SQL/PLSQL).
• Design and implement extensions, interfaces, conversions, and reports (CIS to external systems).
• Collaborate with functional consultants to understand business requirements and translate them into technical designs.
• Perform technical configuration, system integration, and data migration activities.
• Support full lifecycle implementation — from technical design through build, testing, and deployment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, performance problems, and integration errors.
• Develop technical documentation including design documents, test cases, and deployment guides.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and Oracle Utilities best practices.
• Provide post-go-live support and optimization of existing implementations.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in Oracle Utilities CCB technical development.
• Strong proficiency in:
• Oracle Utilities Application Framework (OUAF)
• Java, JSP, Groovy, XML, XAI
• Oracle SQL / PL/SQL
• Experience with integration technologies (Web Services, SOA, APIs).
• Understanding of CCB data model, business objects, and algorithms.
• Experience in performance tuning and debugging CCB applications.
• Familiarity with tools like Oracle WebLogic, Jenkins, Git, and JIRA.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred:

• Oracle Utilities certification (CC&B Technical).
• Experience with other Oracle Utilities products (MDM, SOM, WAM).
• Prior experience with end-to-end Oracle Utilities implementations in the utilities sector (Electricity, Water, Gas).
