Phlebotomist (Home Visits)

1. Home Visit Service:

• Visit patients at home / work based on scheduled appointments.

• Ensure a professional, courteous, and compassionate interaction with patients.

• Use personal proper vehicle to travel to assigned locations.

2. Phlebotomy & Specimen Collection:

• Perform samples collection for laboratory testing, ensuring accurate and proper handling.

• Adhere to infection control measures and patient safety protocols.

• Verify patient identity and test orders before sample collection.

3. Specimen Handling & Transportation:

• Label, package, and transport collected specimens to the designated Al Borg Diagnostics laboratory within the required time frame.

• Ensure proper sample integrity and temperature control as per laboratory guidelines.

4. Documentation & Reporting:

• Accurately record patient details, sample collection information, and test requests in coordination with lab receptionist.

• Report any incidents, patient concerns, or complications encountered during sample collection.

5. Compliance & Quality Assurance:

• Follow all Al Borg Diagnostics and Ministry of Health (MOH) regulations regarding phlebotomy procedures.

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of phlebotomy tools and equipment.

• Participate in ongoing training and skill development programs.

6. Customer Service & Patient Education:

• Educate patients on pre-test preparation and post-test precautions.

• Address patient concerns and provide reassurance during the procedure.

• Degree(s): Diploma or bachelor’s degree in medical laboratory technology, Phlebotomy, or a related field.

• Minimum 2 years of experience in phlebotomy

1. Technical Skills: • Proficiency in venipuncture and capillary blood collection techniques.

• Knowledge of laboratory specimen handling and transportation.

• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.

2. Soft Skills:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to handle patients with care, empathy, and professionalism.

• Good time management and organizational skills.

3. Additional Requirements:

• Must own a personal vehicle (in accordance with the approved conditions set by the relevant departments) and have a valid Saudi driving license.

• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends if needed.
