Platform & Application Tester - IIoT / Cloud (Technology)

We are looking for an experienced Platform & Application Tester to lead the validation of IIoT platforms, web and mobile applications, and cloud services within our Digital Squads project. You will have a strong understanding of device data flows, cloud architecture, and system integrations, ensuring that all platform components—from device ingestion to the application layer—are fully tested and production-ready.

You will be accountable for:

• Test and validate IIoT platform capabilities, including device management, data ingestion, alarms, rules engines, dashboards, and multi-tenancy configurations, using real IoT data and workflows.


• Perform end-to-end testing across device, edge, cloud, and application layers, validating microservices, APIs, event pipelines, storage services, and integrations with OSS/BSS, AI/ML, and third-party systems.


• Verify authentication, role-based access control (RBAC), tenant isolation, secure access workflows, and end-to-end data pipelines from ingestion to visualization and alerting.


• Execute regression, integration, and basic performance testing across platform and application releases, leveraging logs, events, Grafana, and cloud monitoring tools for troubleshooting and quality assurance.


• Collaborate with development, architecture, and operations teams to define test strategies, report defects effectively, and embed quality throughout the software delivery lifecycle.

We are looking for a technically strong and detail-oriented Platform Tester with deep IIoT and cloud expertise, proven testing capabilities, and a collaborative approach to quality engineering in complex, multi-technology environments.

Requirements:

• 
  

  10+ years of experience as an IoT Platform Tester or Software Test Engineer, with strong hands-on knowledge of IIoT concepts, including devices, telemetry, communication protocols, and data lifecycle management. Experience with IoT platforms such as Cumulocity, Litmus, ThingWorx, or similar is required.

  Strong expertise in cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP), including testing of microservices, APIs, and event-driven architectures. Proficiency with API testing tools such as Postman and familiarity with test automation frameworks such as Selenium or equivalent.

  Solid understanding of security and access control frameworks, including OAuth2, SAML, and RBAC, with experience validating tenant isolation, secure authentication flows, and end-to-end data integrity from ingestion through visualization and alerting.

  Experience working with CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and monitoring/logging tools such as Grafana and Cloud Logging. Knowledge of edge computing, secure device provisioning, and multi-cloud or hybrid IoT architectures is highly desirable.

  Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills, coupled with strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities. Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate complex testing outcomes to both technical and non-technical audiences in agile delivery environments.
