Project Engineer

Your Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Project Engineer to join our Machine Vision and Surface Inspection Solutions business. In this role, you will be responsible for the successful execution and delivery of customer projects, from requirements analysis and solution design through installation, commissioning, and handover.

Working closely with customers, sales teams, engineering specialists, and service personnel, you will ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge inspection and automation technologies across a broad range of industrial sectors.

Key Responsibilities

    Manage the execution of Machine Vision and Surface Inspection projects throughout the project lifecycle, from initiation to final acceptance.

    Analyze customer manufacturing, assembly, and inspection processes to understand technical requirements and project objectives.
    
    
  
  
  • 
    
    Develop application concepts and propose tailored inspection and automation solutions that meet customer needs.
    
    
  
  
  • 
    
    Conduct feasibility studies, application testing, and proof-of-concept (POC) evaluations to validate proposed solutions.
    
    
  
  
  • 
    
    Coordinate project activities with customers, suppliers, internal engineering teams, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
    
    
  
  
  • 
    
    Design, configure, and optimize vision systems, including cameras, optics, lighting, software, and automation interfaces.
    
    
  
  
  • 
    
    Prepare project documentation, technical specifications, layouts, schedules, and progress reports.
    
    
  
  
  • 
    
    Oversee system installation, commissioning, calibration, testing, and validation activities at customer sites.
    
    
  
  
  • 
    
    Identify, track, and mitigate project risks while ensuring adherence to project timelines and deliverables.
    
    
  
  
  • 
    
    Support factory acceptance tests (FAT), site acceptance tests (SAT), and customer sign-off processes.
    
    
  
  
  • 
    
    Provide technical guidance and support during project implementation and resolve technical issues through effective troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
    
    
  
  
  • 
    
    Deliver customer training on system operation, maintenance, and best practices.
    
    
  
  
  • 
    
    Collaborate with Sales and Business Development teams during pre-sales activities, technical discussions, and customer presentations when required.
    
    
  
  
  • 
    
    Ensure compliance with company quality, safety, and project management standards.
    
    
  
  
  • 
    
    Maintain strong customer relationships and contribute to achieving high levels of customer satisfaction.
    
    
  
  
  
  

Experience & Qualifications

• 
  
  Bachelor's Degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechanical, Automation Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  
  


• 
  
  2-5 years of experience in Project Engineering, Application Engineering, Industrial Automation, Machine Vision, Inspection Systems, or related fields.
  
  


• 
  
  Experience managing technical projects within manufacturing or industrial automation environments.
  
  


• 
  
  Strong understanding of industrial production processes, quality inspection systems, and automation technologies.
  
  


• 
  
  Hands-on experience with Machine Vision solutions, including cameras, optics, lighting systems, sensors, and vision software.
  
  


• 
  
  Familiarity with PLCs, industrial communication protocols, and automation integration is highly desirable.
  
  


• 
  
  Experience in industries such as Automotive, Electronics, Solar, Glass, Packaging, Metals, Paper, Film, or General Manufacturing is advantageous
  
  


• 
  
  Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  
  


• 
  
  Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
  
  


• 
  
  Willingness to travel regionally and internationally as required to support project activities.

Your location

This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, allowing you to split your time between working remotely and being on-site in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia (SA).
