QMD - City Assets - Director - Project Controls (MDUP2061)

Qiddiya Investment Company is looking for an experienced and visionary Director of Project Controls for the City Assets division. In this crucial leadership role, you will be responsible for providing strategic oversight and direction for the project controls functions while managing a diverse range of urban development projects. Your expertise will guide the planning, execution, and control processes to ensure that Qiddiya’s vision of creating a world-class entertainment destination is realized effectively and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and implementation of project controls strategies for the City Assets projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Oversee project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and performance measurement to facilitate on-time and within-budget delivery.
• Drive the execution of risk management frameworks by identifying, assessing, and mitigating project risks throughout the lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain project control systems and methodologies to provide transparent reporting and analysis to senior management.
• Foster collaboration across multidisciplinary teams to gather project information, promoting data-driven decision-making.
• Mentor and develop project controls professionals, cultivating a high-performance culture within the team.
• Engage regularly with stakeholders, providing updates and addressing inquiries to ensure project alignment.
• Continuously evaluate industry trends and best practices to innovate and enhance project controls processes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
• Minimum of 12-15 years of experience in project controls, with a focus on urban development or large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Demonstrated success in leading project controls functions in complex and dynamic environments.
• Comprehensive knowledge of project control processes, methodologies, and industry standards.
• Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking skills, with a proven ability to synthesize complex data.
• Strong leadership capabilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools.
• Relevant certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent are highly desirable.

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field; a master’s degree is an advantage.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in project controls and planning, with a strong focus on large-scale construction projects.
• Demonstrated experience managing complex projects, preferably in the sports or entertainment sector.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in project management software, scheduling tools, and cost control systems.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification is preferred.
• Experience working in the Middle East is a plus.
