Quality Assurance Engineer (Saudi National Only)

Are you passionate about building high-quality software that users love? Gathern is looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to support the delivery of reliable, high-performing products. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, and designers to validate features, report issues, and ensure our apps and services meet the highest quality standards.

You’ll contribute to our QA activities across manual and automated testing, participate in Agile ceremonies, and help improve how we test and deliver features. If you're detail-oriented, curious, and eager to grow in a fast-paced environment, this role is for you.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to test features and report issues clearly and efficiently.
• Execute manual test cases and support the development of automated tests across mobile and backend platforms.
• Validate features during sprints and contribute to regression and exploratory testing cycles.
• Document bugs and test results in Jira with clarity and context.
• Participate in sprint planning and backlog grooming to provide a QA perspective.
• Support QA team initiatives to improve test coverage and reduce bug leakage.
• Use tools like Firebase, Datadog, and Postman to validate backend behavior, error rates, and app stability.
• Follow and contribute to QA processes across the product lifecycle.

• 2+ years of experience in software quality assurance or a similar role.
• Familiarity with Agile software development and testing practices.
• Experience testing mobile applications (iOS and Android) and backend APIs.
• Ability to write clear and concise bug reports and test documentation.
• Basic understanding of test automation tools and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a team-first mindset.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Fluency in Arabic and good command of English.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Exposure to automation frameworks (e.g., Appium, Postman, Cypress).
• Knowledge of QA metrics and reporting tools.
• Familiarity with tools like Jira, GitHub, TestRail, or similar.
• ISTQB Foundation Level Certification or similar.
