The Registered Nurse in the Paediatrics/PICU department is responsible for providing and coordinating patient-centric and evidence-based nursing care. This role ensures compliance with ethical and professional standards set by regulatory authorities and the hospital.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Patient Care

> Deliver high-quality patient care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team according to clinical standards and relevant legislation.

> Assess all patients and develop individualized nursing care plans.

> Administer medication accurately and promptly, managing controlled medications and executing physician's orders.

> Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of all nursing interventions.

> Ensure patient safety by identifying, preventing, and managing risks in accordance with clinical risk policies and procedures.

> Report all patient near misses and adverse events, adhering to Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) protocols.

Ensure all emergency and other equipment is checked regularly and report faulty or missing equipment.

> Actively manage patient experience and satisfaction, addressing complaints promptly.

> Promote a tidy, clean, and safe patient environment, ensuring nurse calls and patient requests are addressed promptly.

> Computer literacy, including Microsoft Word and Outlook.

> Comprehensive knowledge of patient safety standards .

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualification:

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma, BLS (Basic Life Support)

Desired Education: PALS: PACU, PICU, ER certification is a plus.

License: Eligibility for licensing or licensed with the relevant Health Authority as a Registered Nurse.

Language: Proficiency in basic Arabic and intermediate English.
