We are looking for a highly driven and strategic Account Director to lead our Technology practice in Saudi Arabia. This is a leadership role for an Arabic-speaking expert with deep knowledge of the Saudi market, a passion for technology and AI, and a strong track record in business development and team leadership.
The successful candidate will be responsible for driving client growth, building the Saudi technology team, and collaborating with regional and global stakeholders to position Edelman as a leader in tech communications in the Kingdom.
Key Responsibilities:
- · Client Leadership & Strategy:
- Lead high-profile technology accounts, providing strategic counsel to clients on brand positioning, corporate reputation, and communications strategies.
- Develop and execute integrated PR and communications campaigns, leveraging digital, content, and media strategies.
- Stay ahead of industry trends, ensuring Edelman and its clients are at the forefront of technology and AI developments in Saudi Arabia.
- · Business Development & Growth:
- Proactively identify and secure new business opportunities in the Saudi tech sector.
- Build strong relationships with tech companies, startups, government entities, and investors in Saudi Arabia.
- Collaborate with regional leadership to create new offerings and services tailored to the Saudi market.
- · Team Leadership & Growth:
- Recruit, develop, and mentor a high-performing technology team in Saudi Arabia.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture, encouraging continuous learning and creativity.
- Work closely with the regional technology team to align on best practices and drive operational excellence.
- · Market & Thought Leadership:
- Represent Edelman in industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
- Drive thought leadership initiatives on emerging tech trends, AI, and digital transformation in the Saudi market.
- o Partner with local and international media to enhance Edelman’s profile in the tech space.
What We’re Looking For:
- · Fluent Arabic speaker (written and spoken) with strong English communication skills.
- · Deep understanding of the Saudi market, including government priorities (e.g., Vision 2030), tech ecosystem, and business landscape.
- · 7+ years of experience in communications, PR, or strategic consulting within the tech sector.
- · Proven ability to drive new business, win pitches, and build strong client relationships.
- · Strong experience leading integrated communications campaigns, including PR, digital, and thought leadership.
- · Passion for technology and AI, with a keen interest in emerging trends and innovations.
- · Established media relationships in Saudi Arabia and the broader GCC.
- · Strong leadership and team-building capabilities.
- · Experience working with global and regional technology brands.
- · Strong network within the Saudi tech ecosystem, including startups, VCs, and government stakeholders.
- · Prior experience in a multinational agency or consultancy preferred.
