About the Family & Social Services Administration (FSSA):
The Division of Mental Health and Addiction within the Family and Social Services Administration (FSSA) sets care standards for the provision of mental health and addiction services to Hoosiers. DMHA is committed to ensuring that clients have access to quality services that promote individual, family and community resiliency and recovery.
The division also certifies all community mental health centers and addiction treatment services providers. DMHA operates six psychiatric hospitals (NeuroDiagnostic Institute, Evansville Psychiatric Children’s Center, Evansville State Hospital, Logansport State Hospital, Madison State Hospital and Richmond State Hospital). DMHA provides funding support for mental health and addiction services to target populations with financial need and administers federal funds earmarked for substance abuse prevention projects.
Role Overview:
This role, Residential/Outpatient Team Leade, provides leadership for the Outpatient/Residential Quality Improvement Team, overseeing administrative functions and quality improvement activities. You will guide a team that conducts quality reviews and delivers technical assistance to Community Mental Health Centers, Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics, Addiction Service Providers, Mobile Crisis Teams, and American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) Designation programs. You will manage and organize collaborative site visits, supervise team members to ensure timely completion of site visits, reports, Corrective Action Plans, and other required tasks, and contribute to the development of ongoing monitoring processes related to quality review. Decision-making for responsibilities relies on adherence to regulations, statues, policies, and contracts. Your role ensures that complaints and critical incident reports related to outpatient and residential settings receive appropriate follow‑up within required timeframes. This role also collaborates with the Quality Improvement Team to develop training and technical assistance initiatives for DMHA providers.Your role is essential in supporting the division’s capacity to effectively oversee provider quality and deliver meaningful technical assistance to DMHA‑funded programs. This role requires state-wide travel and is approved for remote work.
Salary Statement:
The salary for this position traditionally starts at $59,800.00 but may be commensurate with education and work experience.

This position is exempt from overtime compensation for additional work hours which may be required to complete essential functions or other assigned work. Exempt employees may work more than 75 hours in a pay period without additional compensation and must report a minimum of 75 hours per pay period of work hours and/or paid leave taken to receive their base biweekly salary.
