Job Description - Return Team Leader

Ninja is seeking a detail-oriented Returns Team Leader to oversee and manage all return operations, ensuring efficient, accurate, and timely processing of returned products while maintaining full compliance with company policies and quality standards. The role involves leading and motivating the team to achieve performance targets and acting as the main point of contact between return operations, warehouse, customer service, procurement, stores, inbound, logistics, and stock control teams to ensure smooth coordination and continuous improvement of the return process.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise the returns team handling damaged and expired products.
  • Train staff on handling, documentation, and process compliance.
  • Develop and implement strategies to streamline return operations.
  • Identify and execute process improvements to reduce losses and maximize recovery.
  • Coordinate with inbound, logistics, and stock control teams.
  • Ensure smooth product return flow.
  • Support communication and issue resolution between departments.
  • Conduct regular audits to identify damage and expiry trends.
  • Analyze return data for root causes and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Negotiate return terms with suppliers and maintain strong relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
  • Diploma in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field (required).
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role (preferably retail/warehouse).
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and inventory management systems.
