Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Road Safety Engineer to join our team on Qiddiya! This is an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of one of the most transformative projects in Saudi Arabia's history, a visionary giga-project that aims to create a world-class entertainment, sports, and cultural destination.
In this role you will get to be responsible for Parsons’s Road Safety Engineering for SAPL Qiddiya Infrastructure Partner (QIDP).Responsible and accountable for ensuring that all work is in full coordination with Qiddiya Investment Company (QIC) and with Jacobs and Mace delivery partners.
What You'll Be Doing:
Conducts inspections to determine if work has been done in accordance with contract specifications; and if the construction supervision responsibilities (of others) are being followed.
Attends civil and structural witness tests, such as soil compaction, moisture content, aggregation, graduation, concrete slumps, air entrainment, concrete compression, lines and grades survey, bolt torques, and concrete coring.
Attends destructive and nondestructive tests on metals and other materials through magnalflux, dye-penetrant, radiographic, tension, paint thickness, and resistivity.
Performs surveillance of underground piping to ensure tightness, bedding, and grade.
Inspects and monitors piling installation regarding location and bearing.
Reviews piping systems, including P checks and hydraulic or other pressure tests.
Inspects electrical installations for proper grounding, circuit integrity, and adherence to standard regulations
Provides general inspection on all construction tasks to ensure professional workmanship.
Reviews equipment alignment and balancing operations.
Identifies to the Construction Manager the need for additional testing or repeat testing as required.
Participates in the development of quality control reports and procedures
Participates in development of job safety practices
Prepare the needed reports.
Ensures adherence to all corporate, contractual, ethics and safety standards, policies, and procedures.
Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelors Degree in Engineering or related discipline.
Minimum 7 years’ experience in construction projects, specifically management experience across multi-disciplinary teams.
Demonstrated teamwork and management skills.
Ability to follow through clearly deliver work instructions in a complex stakeholder environment.
Must function effectively under time constraints, schedule workload to meet deadlines, and have the ability to prioritize.
Advantageous to have extensive experience of significant PM/CM contracts.
Project Management Certified is a plus.
Strong communication skills in English, written and spoken.
