SAP BTP Backend Lead

YOUR ROLE

       Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement backend services using the CAP framework on SAP BTP.


• Develop robust data models with Core Data Services (CDS) and create OData services for frontend integration.


• Optimize and manage databases, particularly SAP HANA, for enhanced performance.


• Integrate SAP and non-SAP systems using the SAP Integration Suite.


• Develop and maintain APIs for seamless system communication.


• Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms via XSUAA.


• Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and corporate security policies.


• Perform unit and integration testing to guarantee application reliability.


• Debug and troubleshoot issues in both development and production environments.


• Collaborate closely with frontend developers, UX designers, and various stakeholders.


• Document the development lifecycle, including design decisions and user guides.


• Conceptualize, design, and implement modern microservice architectures on SAP BTP.


• Develop custom software solutions, continuously optimizing for performance and scalability.


• Manage projects from initial idea to successful go-live, leveraging a deep understanding of SAP BTP.


• Conduct requirements analysis, technical design, and quality assurance for various software projects.

YOUR PROFILE

• Strong experience developing backends for web-based, scalable systems on SAP BTP with Java, JavaScript and optionally TypeScript.


• Extensive experience with databases (particularly SAP HANA) and frameworks, with specific knowledge of SAP HANA Cloud and SAP Integration Suite.


• Proficiency in designing and implementing microservices on SAP BTP, including side-by-side extensions.


• SAP certifications such as SAP Certified Development Associate - SAP HANA Cloud or SAP BTP Extension Developer are a plus.
