SATCOM Solutions Manager (Critical & Urgent)

Job Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of end-to-end satellite communication (SATCOM) solutions.


• Develop High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) for satellite communication systems.


• Design and optimize VSAT (Ku/Ka-band), L-band, and hybrid satellite-terrestrial communication networks.


• Perform RF engineering activities, including link budget analysis and network performance optimization.


• Design satellite gateways, ground stations, and integrated communication infrastructure.


• Lead technical presales activities, including customer meetings, solution presentations, and technical workshops.


• Prepare technical proposals, Bills of Quantities (BoQ), and respond to RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs.


• Execute Proof of Concept (PoC) demonstrations and technical validations.


• Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and technology partners to deliver customer solutions.


• Ensure compliance with ITU, CST, and cybersecurity standards.


• Evaluate and implement emerging technologies such as 5G NTN, IoT, and AI-enabled satellite solutions.


• Provide technical leadership throughout project implementation and deployment.


• Prepare technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and implementation reports.

Requirements

• Minimum 10+ years of experience in Satellite Communications (SATCOM).


• Hands-on experience with VSAT (Ku/Ka-band), L-band (Iridium/Inmarsat), and LEO, MEO, GEO satellite systems.


• Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline.


• Master's degree is an advantage.

• Experience working with satellite platforms including Hughes, iDirect, Gilat, Comtech, Iridium, Inmarsat, and Eutelsat is highly preferred.


• Knowledge of 5G NTN, IoT, AI integration, cybersecurity, and ITU/CST regulations is considered an advantage.


• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and technical documentation skills.

Preferred Certifications

• PMP (Project Management Professional)


• CCNP Enterprise or CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure


• iDirect Certified Engineer


• Hughes Network Systems Certification


• Fortinet NSE or equivalent Cybersecurity Certification


• ITIL Foundation


• Vendor certifications from Hughes, Gilat, iDirect, Comtech, Iridium, or Inmarsat are highly preferred.

Experience

• Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in Satellite Communications and Network Solutions.


• Proven experience leading enterprise or government SATCOM projects.


• Extensive experience in satellite solution architecture, RF engineering, and IP networking.


• Strong track record in technical presales, solution design, and bid management.


• Experience integrating satellite and terrestrial communication networks.


• Experience with modern satellite technologies, including LEO, MEO, GEO, VSAT, 5G NTN, IoT, and AI-enabled communication solutions.


• Previous experience working with telecom operators, satellite service providers, system integrators, or government communication projects is highly preferred.
