Senior Data Privacy -Banking Domain

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Privacy Consultant to support and ensure compliance with the Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL). The consultant will collaborate with internal stakeholders and external regulators to implement and maintain effective data privacy and protection frameworks, helping the organization mitigate privacy risks and align with legal obligations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with SDAIA regarding notifications and potential violations, and provide required information on behalf of the organization.

• Collaborate with internal teams and data champions to ensure continuous compliance with data protection requirements.

• Review and maintain Records of Processing Activities (RoPA) as mandated by SDAIA.

• Conduct privacy impact assessments for new services or significant changes.

• Identify and implement appropriate technical and organizational safeguards to mitigate risks to data subjects.

• Advise and assist the organization in meeting its obligations under PDPL.

• Evaluate compliance documentation and identify any gaps or areas for improvement.

• Ensure data protection policies and procedures are regularly updated and aligned with PDPL requirements.

• Manage the organization’s registration on the SDAIA portal.

• Provide expert input on data protection impact assessments and risk management.

• Communicate privacy incidents proactively to relevant stakeholders.

• Assist in identifying, notifying, and managing data breaches.

• Provide expert advice and guidance to internal teams and external data processors.

• Conduct privacy training and awareness programs for employees.

• Monitor, audit, and report on the organization’s compliance with PDPL and internal data protection practices.

• Handle data subject requests and inquiries in accordance with legal and organizational protocols.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Security or any related field.

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in data privacy, information governance, regulatory compliance, or a related area.

• In-depth knowledge of PDPL and related regulatory frameworks.

• Proven experience in conducting privacy risk assessments and managing data privacy incidents.

• Familiarity with RoPA and SDAIA requirements is preferred.

• Strong interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.
