Senior Development Manager - Athletics Stadium (SPA145)

Qiddiya Investment Company is excited to announce an opportunity for a Senior Development Manager specializing in the development of an Athletics Stadium. This pivotal role will require a skilled leader to oversee the transformation of conceptual designs into a premier venue for athletic competitions, community events, and training facilities that meet international standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, design, and construction phases of the Athletics Stadium, ensuring alignment with the overall vision of Qiddiya investment company and enhancing the athletic experience.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to create efficient and innovative designs that cater to a diverse range of sporting events.
• Conduct thorough feasibility studies and risk assessments to guide project development and inform strategic decisions.
• Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources effectively to ensure projects are delivered on schedule and within budgetary constraints.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, suppliers, and local authorities for successful project execution.
• Oversee project progress, identifying issues and implementing corrective actions as necessary to keep the project on track.
• Ensure compliance with local planning regulations, safety standards, and environmental considerations throughout the construction process.
• Coordinate with operational and marketing teams to ensure that the stadium meets operational needs and maximizes audience engagement upon completion.
• Prepare status reports for senior management, detailing project progress, risks, and other critical metrics.
• Provide leadership and guidance to team members, fostering an environment of collaboration and innovation.

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Sports Management, or related field.
• A minimum of 9-12 years of experience in project management, with a focus on the development of sports facilities or related infrastructure.
• Demonstrated experience in overseeing construction projects from conception to completion.
• Strong understanding of domain-specific regulations, safety compliance, and the operational requirements of athletic venues.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills to effectively manage diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Ability to analyze market trends and performance indicators to inform decision-making.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a high-paced environment.
• Prior experience in Middle Eastern construction projects is an advantage.
