Job Description:
Parsons is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Engineer-Mechanical to join our dynamic team and play a key role in the successful execution of a major infrastructure construction project. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in mechanical engineering principles and practices, with a proven track record of delivering results on complex projects in the infrastructure sector.
Responsibilities:
Lead the mechanical engineering aspects of the project from conception through to completion, ensuring adherence to design specifications, regulations, and quality standards.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including civil engineers, architects, project managers, and contractors to integrate mechanical systems seamlessly within the overall project scope.
Conduct thorough analysis and evaluation of mechanical systems, components, and equipment to optimize performance, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
Develop detailed engineering plans, drawings, and specifications using CAD software, and oversee the preparation of accurate documentation for construction and procurement activities.
Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers and project team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or issues, and implement timely solutions to ensure milestones are achieved within budget and schedule constraints.
As required, collaborate with external stakeholders such as regulatory agencies, suppliers, and vendors to obtain necessary approvals, permits, and materials for project execution.
Conduct thorough inspections and quality assurance checks to verify compliance with design standards, safety protocols, and industry best practices.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on infrastructure construction projects with a minimum of 5 years experience in GCC.
Proficiency in CAD software and other relevant engineering tools and technologies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
