Senior Manager, Environment & Sustainability - Licensing & Permitting (CDU911)

Qiddiya Investment Company is looking for a passionate and experienced Senior Manager, Environment & Sustainability – Licensing & Permitting to join our dynamic team. In this strategic role, you will oversee the environmental licensing and permitting processes, ensuring that our projects comply with both local and international environmental regulations and sustainability practices.

Your expertise will guide our commitment to sustainability while facilitating the regulatory processes necessary for the successful execution of our projects. You will work closely with various stakeholders to develop and implement strategies that enhance environmental performance and ensure the responsible use of resources.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the environmental licensing and permitting efforts for all Qiddiya projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Develop and implement environmental policies and procedures that support sustainability initiatives.
• Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to integrate sustainability goals into project planning and execution.
• Monitor and assess the environmental impact of projects, providing recommendations for mitigating adverse effects.
• Conduct environmental assessments and prepare reports for submission to regulatory agencies.
• Engage with governmental and regulatory bodies to facilitate the licensing and permitting processes.
• Manage the preparation and submission of environmental impact assessments (EIAs) and other required documentation.
• Ensure the effective communication of environmental policies and requirements to all project teams and stakeholders.
• Stay updated on environmental legislation and trends to proactively manage compliance and risk.
• Lead training and awareness programs on environmental sustainability for staff and contractors.
• Coordinate with external consultants and stakeholders during licensing and permitting processes.
• Develop performance metrics and reporting systems to track progress in environmental sustainability and compliance.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement in environmental practices within the organization.
• Represent Qiddiya at environmental forums, public hearings, and community engagement initiatives.

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Sustainability, or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
• 8+ years of experience in environmental management, licensing, and permitting, specifically in large-scale projects.
• In-depth knowledge of local environmental laws, regulations, and permitting processes.
• Proven experience in conducting environmental assessments and managing compliance.
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with stakeholders.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience in team management.
• Analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a focus on sustainable solutions.
• Ability to navigate complex regulatory environments and advocate for best practices in sustainability.
